Winter Warlock?

Have you seen the what season are you blog questionnaire? No? Check out casas de Marie, Marie and Fay Lynn. I was joking with Fay Lynn that I was scared to take the quiz because I’d probably be winter: cold, dead, frostbitten. Think Winter Warlock from “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Here’s what I got:

You Belong in Spring
Optimistic, lively, and almost always happy with the world…You can truly appreciate the blooming nature of spring.Whether you’re planting flowers or dyeing Easter eggs, spring is definitely your season!

I feel so much better now.

I finished ripping back on the SKB. Took me all freakin’ day to do it too, but at least my stitch count is correct. I’m ready to go on it! On the socky news front, I swatched with the Monster Mash yarn with size 6s, all I had available. As I suspected, too loose for socks. Now I have to wait for the KnitPicks tips and cables to arrive so I can get cracking on those. I ordered a pair of size 4 and 5 tips and cables, so I’ll just have to keep myself busy with SKB until those arrive.

  1. Hope Monster Mash will be coming to SnB with you tomorrow–I am looking forward to seeing it! That SKB pattern (from what I’ve been seeing) is a doozy, and then there is the Lace Wings. Oh, that Lace Wings. Tsk Tsk Tsk to that designer!

  2. Whew, I feel better now, too…but that might just be because I’ve dodged jury duty summons for another day…oh, right, back to you…heavens no, you’re not the Grinch…you’re Sally Who (Hoo? Whoo?)!

Congrats on ripping back SKB. Better to do it right than be unhappy with it when it’s done, right?

  3. LOL 😉 I shared your fears, but turned out to be spring as well – fortunately 😉

  4. I thought for sure I’d be winter but no, Fall. Not that there’s much change between seasons here.

At least you’re back to the right count! Sometimes you’ve just got to rip.

  5. I nailed it!! I knew you were going to be spring!

    Common Breast Cancer Myths

The first myth pertaining to this disease is that it only affects women.

Second myth that is associated with this disease is that if one has found a lump during an examination, it is cancer.

Third is that it is solely hereditary

The next myth associated with breast cancer is downright ridiculous. Would you believe, that in this day and age, some individuals still think that breast cancer is contagious?

Conversely, some individuals foolishly believe that breast size determines whether or not one gets cancer.

Finally, another myth that is associated with this disease is that it only affects older people. This is not so. Although the chance of getting breast cancer increases with age, women as young as 18 have been diagnosed with the disease.
